Situated in Lebanon, Ahliah School delivers instruction in English for core subjects—English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and Art—within a framework aligned to Ahliah Standards and largely drawn from Common Core International Standards. In Lower School, grades 1 through 6 (ages 6 to 11) emphasize active learning, critical thinking, problem solving, project-based learning, and guided inquiry in a student-centered approach. The Grand Lycée Franco-Libanais (GLFL) is a Mission Laïque Française-contracted school in Lebanon, part of the MLF AEFE network. It blends the French curriculum with Lebanese programs, preparing students for the Lebanese Brevet, the Diplôme National du Brevet, the French Baccalaureate, and the French International Baccalaureate (BFI). International College Beirut (IC) is an independent, non-profit school with two campuses, Ain Aar and Ras Beirut. Founded in 1891, IC is chartered by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and serves about 3,500 students. IC offers four programs: the Lebanese Program, the French Program, the International Baccalaureate (IB) program with PYP and DP, and the American College Preparatory Program. The Primary Years Programme runs through early years and primary grades; after PYP, students select a program. All programs require three languages: Arabic (host), a language of instruction (French or English), and an additional language (French in the English stream, English in the French stream). Wellspring Learning Community's City Centre Campus in Beirut offers the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP) for students aged 11 to 19.
