Step 1: Admission Guideline. Prepare the following documents for upload: the previous year's transcript, a copy of the child's IC or passport, a visa (if available), and the application fee. Documentation related to medical or special education accommodations can be uploaded as applicable. Nominate the child's current or most recent teacher to serve as a reference, and the admissions team will contact the reference directly. The application is not considered complete until the application fee has been paid.
Step 2: Application Process. Upload the documents and provide the reference from the child's current or most recent teacher. The admissions team will reach out to the nominated reference directly. Ensure all requested documentation is provided to avoid delays in processing.
Step 3: Schedule An Assessment. Preschool students and their parents join the EYC team for a one-hour in-person taster session or an informal online interview. Primary school students sit for a writing test (covering English, Mathematics, and Science) which can be completed in-person or virtually. Secondary student applicants (Grade 7–10) will undergo an assessment in-person or virtually and may be required to attend an interview with the academic team.
Step 4: Admissions Decisions. Completed applications are reviewed by the Admissions Review Committee on a weekly basis. Once all documentation has been received, an admissions decision is communicated within 7 business days.
AIS offers a scholarship programme with several academic scholarship categories. Principal's Scholarship provides up to a 25% discount on the published tuition fee, and Founder's Scholarship provides up to a 50% discount on the published tuition fee. Higher Achievers Scholarships offer up to 75% discount for international level applicants; these scholarship amounts are deducted from tuition fees only. Scholarships are available to both new enrolment students and AIS students, with eligibility verified by state, national, or international bodies as applicable. The AIS Higher Achievers Scholarship category covers achievements in academics, sports, music, and other areas at state, national, or international levels, with corresponding discount levels.
AIS Academic Scholarships include several entry pathways: for new enrolments, applicants must have high academic achievement (e.g., 5A's in current exams) and maintain strong results in subsequent semesters to retain the scholarship; for AIS students, current students must achieve 3A's in Checkpoint exams and maintain a minimum of 5A's in subsequent semesters to remain eligible. The scholarship application process requires submitting a scholarship application form along with certified transcripts, letters of recommendation, a personal statement or essay, and evidence of extracurricular activities or community service; financial need documentation may be required for certain scholarships. Applications are reviewed through a structured process: document verification by the Registry, external verification of records and recommendations, an interview for shortlisted candidates, and final committee approval. Scholarships may be renewed for multiple years based on continued academic performance, with timelines indicating deadlines, verification periods, and notification of outcomes.
