The school uses the Cambridge curriculum as the foundation of its learning. Subject specialist teachers cover PSHE, English, Science, Music and Maths, with a SEND head ensuring inclusive access through differentiated schemes and bespoke resources. The English curriculum runs from the EYFS through Year 8, emphasising speaking, listening, reading and writing, building vocabulary, grammar and a love of literature, with writing integrated across subjects. The Science curriculum runs from EYFS to Year 8 and stresses practical investigations, collaboration and the ability to plan and evaluate experiments. The Mathematics curriculum is taught in sets with small class sizes; there are opportunities for global maths competitions and gifted learning programmes for the top 20%, alongside 1:1 remedial support where needed. Other subjects include ICT, Arts & Design, PSHE, Physical Education, Religious Education and History, with a Nigerian history project and cross-curricular links; the school holds Cambridge Assessment Internal Education accreditation and COBIS membership.

Mathematics gifted and talented provisions include competitions and a gifted learning programme for the top 20% of mathematicians; there are opportunities to participate in global maths competitions.

Our classes are small to ensure that children receive individual attention in order for their learning needs to be met. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and the British National Curriculum for primary school. We provide a nurturing environment that values each child's individuality and supports learning across abilities. All teaching is based on the British National Curriculum for primary school. From as early as age three, French, Spanish and Mandarin are introduced through songs, rhymes and stories. The language program aims to give each pupil the chance to learn at least one foreign language, to trial different languages from an early age and to encourage advanced language learning, including language clubs. Language learning develops cultural awareness, problem-solving, adaptability and creativity, with carefully differentiated lessons supporting all abilities. The program also supports native-language speakers who are keen to share their cultural knowledge.

The school focuses on a happy, secure and stimulating learning environment in which all members can grow in confidence and develop their full potential. The nurturing environment values each child's individuality and fosters academic, emotional, and creative growth. Every child feels safe, supported, and inspired to excel through well-trained staff, strong music and language programs and a broad range of extracurricular activities. The school has policies and procedures to ensure your children are safe while in our care. Health, safety and environment guidelines are strictly adhered to. Safeguarding considerations are embedded across daily school life to protect pupils and ensure a secure learning environment.

1. Inquiry and tour. New parents and their child visit during a regular school day for a scheduled tour. Contact the Admissions Office at 08184111000 to arrange a tour, which lasts about 30 minutes. Overseas families may be granted an exemption to complete the required admissions paperwork before arrival to ensure timely enrolment. 2. Make an application. Submit an application with a completed and signed Application for Admission form and the documents listed: Medical form; Right of Publicity form; two passport-size photographs; birth certificate; vaccination booklet; and school reports for the past two terms (translated into English and authenticated if necessary). Pay the non-refundable/non-transferable Application Fee of N15,000 per child by bank transfer or POS. Submission of all documents and the fee is required before processing and does not guarantee a place; year groups can fill quickly, so early registration is advised. Applications may be submitted in person at Hampton Preparatory School, 23, Prince Adelowo Adedeji Street, Lekki Phase 1, Lekki, Lagos, Nigeria. 3. Assessment, testing and interview. All applicants seeking entry are tested or assessed (EYFS) and must meet with the Headteacher to discuss programs and curriculum. The assessment helps determine the best placement and identify any required support. The assessment material is private and not viewable. The School reserves the right to reject applications where needs cannot be met by the current program. 4. Offer a place. After assessment, parents are informed by email, text or call that the child has been offered a guaranteed place, placed on a Waiting List for entry if further places become available, or is unsuccessful. If the application is successful, an offer of place is made. 5. Admission letter. To accept the offer for the start of the next academic year, or for immediate entry in exceptional circumstances, parents should complete and return the Admission Letter form and pay the entrance fees (non-refundable) within the timeframe stated in the offer. If an employer pays the fees, provide a Letter of Financial Guarantee from the company and send it before the due date. 6. Parental support of the school and its ethos. All Hampton Preparatory School parents are expected to support the ethos and policies of the School, including Child Protection and Safeguarding, Online Safety and Digital Responsibility, Health and Safety, Learning and Teaching, Behaviour for Learning, Attendance and Homework. 7. Admission. Upon payment or letter of financial guarantee confirming acceptance, the School will invite parents to purchase school uniforms at the Hampton Prep School Admissions Office and the office will communicate the start date and first day details.

Waiting List. The school places applicants on a Waiting List for entry when immediate places are not available.
