ISIB has a school uniform and PE kit; it provides a shared identity for ISIB students and is designed to be affordable and hard-wearing for active school days. Uniform and PE kit can be tried on at Sport24, Strøget 19, 7430 Ikast; orders can be placed online via sportup.dk.

ISIB is governed by a five-member Board with two reserves. The Board is chaired by Carsten Kissmeyer with Shaun Cassingham as Vice Chair and includes three Friends of ISIB representatives (Karsten Rasmussen, Tony Sharma, Dorthe Døjbak Håkonsson) and two Parent representatives (Casper Hindkjær, Kristian Sønnichsen); governor reserves for 2025-2026 are Henrik Morsing Brandt, Karina Bæk and Martin Popp Fredslund.

ISIB follows the Cambridge International Curriculum for both the Primary and Secondary sections. The Cambridge Primary programme provides a world-class curriculum with integrated assessment to develop skills, knowledge and understanding in younger learners, designed to be culturally sensitive for local and international contexts. The Primary years run from Year 1 to Year 6. In the Secondary department, Years 7 to 11 (Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4) are taught in English and follow Cambridge curricula: Years 7–9 focus on foundation knowledge for IGCSE work in Years 10–11, with subjects including English, Maths, Science, Art, Danish, German, History, ICT, Music, Physical Education and PSHE. Cambridge IGCSE is then used in Years 10–11, offering a range of subject routes and recognized worldwide for progression.

Since 2017, an average of 85% of ISIB students have achieved grades A–C in Cambridge IGCSE examinations, exceeding the global average of 80% for Cambridge schools. These results reflect strong performance in the externally assessed IGCSE subjects.

Transitions to upper secondary include the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, studying abroad, or pursuing Danish pathways such as STX and HHX. ISIB works with Ikast-Brande Gymnasium, which offers the IB Diploma, and with other institutions such as Ikast Handelsgymnasium, with UU providing guidance to support informed choices about future pathways.

English is the language of instruction, and all students receive support to develop and strengthen their English proficiency throughout their time at ISIB.

The initial contact starts the admissions process and provides an opportunity to ask questions about ISIB and its environment. The school will schedule an initial discussion to learn about your child's background and needs.

Step 2: After you have taken a tour or attended an online meeting, the school may offer taster days so your child can experience the school first-hand. Taster days allow you and your child to experience ISIB's routines, classes and language environment before a formal offer. Availability is at the school's discretion and may vary by year group. Participation in taster days does not guarantee admission.

Step 3: If your family decides to join ISIB, please complete our application form. An application form may be submitted at any stage of the process. Please note that not all applications can be accepted.

Step 4: If your child is offered a place following the application process and, where relevant, an interview or entrance assessment, we will provide an overview of the required payments. These include the registration fee, the first month's tuition fees and a deposit. The deposit is equal to two months' tuition fees and will be returned when your child leaves ISIB. All payments must be received before we can guarantee your child's place.

Step 5: Your child's year group placement is determined by several factors, including age, academic achievement and pastoral requirements. As far as possible, children are placed with their chronological peers, unless there is a compelling reason to do otherwise. Final placement decisions are made by the Head of School.

As English is the language of instruction, all students will receive appropriate support to develop and strengthen their English proficiency throughout their time at the school.
