The MIA School network was established in 2015. It comprises four distinct branches: MIA Private School, MIA International School, a Chinese School, and Preschool. The international school provides a globally-focused education, while the private school emphasizes personalized attention and academic development. The Chinese School offers Mandarin language study and cultural activities. The facilities include a well-stocked library, science labs, and ICT rooms. The Mandalay campus is located at 59B Street, Between 38th and 39th Street, Mandalay 05031. The network aims to develop intellectual and personal potential, with attention to critical thinking and lifelong learning. The Mandarin language program is part of the offerings through the Chinese School.
ILBC Mandalay operates multiple campuses offering Cambridge IGCSE programs (IGCSE I, II, III) and preschool locations. Mandalay campuses include 30th Street (Kankauk Ward, Chan Aye Thar Zan), 64th Street (Mahar Myaing II, Mahar Aung Myay), and Block-13/A, 30th Street (IGCSE III and Preschool). The Preschool programs include two campuses in Mandalay: 30th Street and 60th Street (Myothit), with the 60th Street site located in Chanmyatharsi. The site also describes extracurricular options such as music, fine arts, and various sports. For language, the Preschool program emphasizes an English-language curriculum and notes that Myanmar and Chinese are also taught. The school follows the IGCSE curriculum across its Mandalay IGCSE campuses and provides education from preschool through secondary levels.
MISA (Mandalay International School of Acumen) is a private international K–12 school in Mandalay that offers Cambridge International programmes from primary through to A Levels. The campus is located at the Chan Aye Thar Zan corridor in Mandalay, with a high school capacity of up to about 400 students in Years 7–13. The school follows Cambridge Lower Secondary CheckPoint, Cambridge IGCSE, and Cambridge A Level curricula, delivered in English, with English-language support where needed. Facilities include science labs, ICT resources, libraries, art/music spaces, and a football field across primary and high school campuses; a preschool campus is also part of the school.
Ayeyarwaddy International School (AIS) in Mandalay is a WASC-accredited international school offering Preschool through Grade 12. Founded in 2011, AIS is the only K-12 international school in Upper Myanmar. The school follows an American curriculum model with Language Arts and Math standards drawn from the Common Core, and uses American textbooks for core subjects. Advanced Placement (AP) courses are offered in the secondary program, and there are on-site TOEFL and SAT examinations to support university admissions. English is the language of instruction, and the program includes electives such as Myanmar studies and Spanish. AIS emphasizes technology-enabled learning with digital classrooms and a large English-language library, along with more than 60 after-school activities. Facilities include the on-site library and lead-teacher–run clubs conducted in the target language. The school aims to prepare students for higher education in the United States and other countries.
UNITY Private School runs four campuses in Mandalay, Kyauk Se, and Myin Gyan. It began in 2001 as a day training centre and gained private-school status in 2012–2013; expansions followed in 2015–2016 (Kyaukse), 2017–2018 (Myin Gyan), and 2018–2019 (Kyauk Se Campus 2). The school offers dual curricula: Myanmar's National Curriculum and international options through Pearson Edexcel, with IGCSE readiness from primary to upper secondary. Cambridge assessments are delivered in partnership with the British Council. Unity also provides STEM education, project-based learning, and weekend classes in Cambridge English and Olympiad Maths. The school emphasises languages, personal development, and service to society, aiming to cultivate independent, thoughtful leaders. Facilities include a music and arts program and a library to support broad learning. Unity's campuses welcome students from diverse backgrounds within Myanmar; at Kyauk Se the school operates as both boys' and girls' campuses. The programs prepare students to study locally or abroad.
