Day students follow a traditional daytime schedule with classes typically from 8:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Boarding students have after-school activities and an evening study hall from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., with dinner from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Billing schedule and payment terms

Admissions

0. Kindergarten Age Requirements: A child must be five years old by December 31 of the year of entry for admission into Kindergarten. 1. Submit Standard Application Online (SAO) and pay application fee. Complete the Standard Application Online with school code 1401; the non-refundable application fee is $50. 2. Submit school records. Official transcripts or report cards from at least the last two years are required; use the Records Release Form if the current school requires it. While standardized test scores are not required (SSAT, SBA, PSAT, TOEFL, etc.), families may submit them to provide additional information. 3. Send two recommendations. One from a teacher and one from another person who knows the child well; recommendations can be completed via SAO or emailed to admissions@apishawaii.org. 4. Interview in person or online. An admissions officer will schedule an interview with families who have submitted an application to learn about the student and the school's project-based approach. 5. Wait for application response. After submission and interview, an email will be sent with the applicant's acceptance status; if accepted, enrollment information will follow. 5.5 International students only: Apply for F-1 student visa. Steps: send a copy of the passport and bank statement to admissions@apishawaii.org; APIS will issue Form I-20; present Form I-20 to the home country embassy or consulate to complete the visa process; notify when the visa is received. 6. Scholarships

APIS Hawai‘i uses School and Student Services (SSS) by NAIS to determine financial aid eligibility. The recommendations from SSS are reviewed by the Financial Aid Committee and may be adjusted. The family's total income and assets, the number of children attending tuition-charging schools, housing costs, medical expenses, debt obligations, and other special circumstances are considered.
