Introduction

Uwekind International School is a private IB World School in Sofia, Bulgaria, serving students aged 3 to 18. Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

Primary School develops students' natural curiosity and their individual potential in a supportive and safe learning environment. Bulgarian is the native language of instruction. German language instruction starts in kindergarten; English language instruction starts in Grade 3. Bilingual instruction continues to Grade 12. Mental Wellbeing

To become life-long learners, students grow in a secure and supportive learning environment. Uwekind supports health and well-being through clubs, projects and sports that foster collaboration and healthy development. A nurse works in each building to support health and safety. A psychologist and a speech therapist support younger students and staff to promote well-being and effective learning.

Admissions

1. Get to know us. Research information about Uwekind and contact the application team for guidance in the application process. Sign up for a meeting; meetings and visits take place after you sign up in advance by calling: +359 879 888 920 (Kindergarten), +359 885 888 940 (Grades Preparatory class, 1 – 6), +359 885 888 930 (Grades 7 – 12). This helps you learn about the curriculum and philosophy.

2. Apply. Fill out the online application form for the appropriate grade. The application team will contact you to schedule an interview date for your child. The form includes sections for the child's personal information, current school, references, language proficiency, and parent details; the interview will include a placement test. The application team will communicate whether the child has been admitted.

3. Registration. Fill out the documents provided by the school office, or online when available. The school contract form requires selecting a payment method (one, two, or three payments per year). The school completes administrative procedures to register the student.
