The LFCL offers only the general track. From Seconde to Terminale, it follows the French national education program. The mission is to ensure the success of each pupil and prepare them for higher education. The Seconde year aims to keep the widest range of choices, providing a common general culture while allowing exploration of literary, economic, scientific, or technological fields. It combines common teachings (80% of the timetable) with optional exploratory teachings; among them one is compulsory in economics. From Seconde onward, students may choose the general section, the international section (BFI) French/Portuguese/English, and the European section English/Mathematics. The Portuguese International Section begins in Seconde and provides a preferred pathway to entry into BFI. In Portuguese: 4 hours of Portuguese (4h in the general section plus 2h specific to SiP); 4 hours of History-Geography (adaptation of the French program, 2h in French and 2h in Portuguese). In English: the number of hours remains unchanged (3h), but foundations of methodology and literary analysis are taught in preparation for Première. In the BFI track (from Première to Terminale): two new subjects are introduced: Connaissances Du Monde (CDM) in Portuguese and Accompagnement Culturel et Linguistique (ACL) in English; History-Geography is taught in French (2h) and Portuguese (2h).

The school has a health service with an infirmary, a school psychologist, and a school doctor. The Conseiller Principal d'Education (CPE) organizes the life of the school and coordinates the Assistants d'Education. The health service provides health education and prevention in collaboration with teachers to support students' development and address their needs. The school participates in Health and Citizenship Education (CESC) activities to promote student wellbeing. The infirmary and psychologist have published hours, and the psychologist is available on specific days; the health service is not intended to substitute for a family doctor.
The school implements an inclusion policy (EBEP). There are EBEP provisions with plans to support students with special educational needs. In primary, families signal PPS and/or PAP to the primary leadership team for plans in place or in use. In secondary, more information can be obtained by contacting Mme Duarte (secretariat.dir.examens@lfcl.pt). The LFCL provides resources related to EBEP and Dys support to assist students with special needs.
English is taught as a language and LFCL offers English-language pathways. From 2nde, students can choose the general section, the international section (BFI) French/Portuguese/English, and the European section English/Mathematics. The school provides health services including an infirmary and a school psychologist, with the doctor available by appointment. The infirmary is located in the basement and the psychologist's office is in room 225E. The service handles care and emergencies, monitors contagious diseases, and conducts health screenings. It also supports students with allergies or health conditions and can implement PAI and PPS. The service collaborates with families to promote the overall wellbeing of students and their healthy development.
Safeguarding is supported through close coordination with families and the health service. The school participates in Health and Citizenship Education (CESC) actions to promote safety and wellbeing. The EBEP policy supports inclusive safeguarding for students with health needs or disabilities. The school provides information about data protection (RGPD) and related safeguarding resources, and materials from the LFCL inclusive education program are shared with families.

AESH support may be provided for students with disabilities; the LFCL AESH program is funded by the family; the process follows AEFE circulars. LFCL Solidarity Fund provides financial assistance to families in hardship; funds come from voluntary family contributions and donations; eligibility is based on socio-economic criteria including movable and real estate assets, and can cover tuition, semi-intern status, health services, travel, textbooks, clothing, equipment, etc; under AEFE directives, aid cannot cover the difference for those already receiving state scholarships.
Waiting list is a possible outcome during the admissions process; the nine step procedure includes placement on a waiting list as one of the responses to an admission request.
