Discounts and reductions

- Standard reductions: 10% discount applies to the second enrolled child, 15% for three children, and 20% for four children (fratries). Residence in Villanueva de la Cañada may carry a residency discount (application and documentation required). A 3% discount applies to tuition + meal fees when the full annual amount is paid in a single payment (not applicable to crèche and not combinable with certain other reductions). Some discounts are not cumulative; discretionary reductions may be granted in exceptional circumstances.

Billing schedule and payment terms

- Tuition is annual in nature and becomes due from the start of the school year. Families can choose payment either as a single annual payment (one‑off) or split into ten monthly instalments (September through June). Monthly billing is by direct debit (domiciliación bancaria) on the invoice due date; invoices are accessible via the school's Eduka application. Annual prepayment carries a 3% reduction on tuition and meal charges.

- Re‑enrolment is processed and charged in advance in April; a spot is confirmed only when the re‑enrolment fee has been paid. Any outstanding amounts may lead to non‑confirmation of re‑enrolment and to the student not being readmitted for the next school year. A rejected direct debit incurs an additional fee of EUR 30. Persistent non‑payment may result in suspension of services and, in extreme cases, the school initiating recovery procedures and refusing readmission.

Refunds and cancellation rules

- Registration fees (first registration and re‑registration) are not refundable in normal circumstances. Official exam registration fees are non‑refundable. Optional services (guardería, extra‑curricular activities, complementary courses) are charged for any period started and are generally non‑refundable if the family cancels after the period has begun. When a pupil enrols during a term, fees may be calculated pro rata temporis, but any month started is treated as fully due. Scholarships or consular grants, if subsequently awarded, may be applied and any applicable reimbursement handled under the school's rules.

Boarding / residential provision

- Boarding services are not listed among the billed services. The school's published fee schedules and financial regulations list tuition, crèche, meals, transport, guardería, extra‑curricular services and other day‑school items but do not include boarding/“internat” or boarding fees. Therefore no boarding fees apply.

Accepted payment methods and invoicing

- The primary payment collection method is bank direct debit (domiciliación bancaria). Invoices are issued and made available through the Eduka application. Rejected direct debits incur a penalty charge (EUR 30). The school also publishes its bank details for transfers and related administrative procedures in its financial documentation. Specific alternative payment arrangements (if any) are governed by the school's administration.

Important operational notes about fees (concise)

- Registration fees are payable to confirm a place and are generally non‑refundable.
- Tuition is annual and may be paid in one payment (with a 3% discount) or in ten monthly instalments (September–June).
- Optional services are charged for any period started and typically non‑refundable.
- Non‑payment can cause service suspension and may prevent re‑enrolment.

Academics

Lycée Français International Molière teaches French Curriculum for students aged 0 to 18.

Curriculum

The school provides a French national education program, AEFE-accredited, within the Mission Laïque Française network. It operates as an international, multilingual, and secular school. Students learn in three languages—French, Spanish, and English—throughout the curriculum, with English introduced in the early years and intensified in secondary. The school serves Crèche (4 months to 3 years), Maternelle (3 to 6 years), Primaire (6 to 11 years), Secondaire (11 to 17 years), and Supérieur (18+ years).

Higher Education Progression

AEFE and Mission Laïque Française frameworks guide the teaching model, with a multilingual international approach designed to prepare students for higher education worldwide. At the end of their schooling, students obtain the French Baccalauréat and the Spanish qualifications (Graduado en ESO and Bachiller), and aim to reach C1 in French, Spanish, and English to pursue higher education internationally. Access to Spanish universities is supported by UNED accreditation of the baccalaureate, and the school promotes exchanges to broaden study options internationally.

Wellbeing

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

Emotional education is at the heart of LFIMolière, supporting students' holistic development. Rafael Bisquerra, a professor at the University of Barcelona and president of the International Network for Emotional Education and Well-Being, defines it as a continuous educational process that promotes emotional development as an indispensable complement to cognitive development, building the essential aspects of the whole personality. Benefits include improved health and wellbeing for students and staff, a better school climate, and enhanced academic outcomes, along with reduced costs related to bullying, anxiety, and depression. LFIMolière's emotional educators (Aurélie Delaporte, Albane Rocher, Sandrine Jahan, Pauline Riou, Sophie Lemonnier) guide students across levels with regular sessions that promote emotional literacy. About eight sessions are delivered per level using videos, debates, mindfulness, presentations, role-plays, arts, movement, games, and rituals, with cross-curricular integration. LFIMolière also emphasizes staff development, with emotional education training planned for personnel starting October 2024.

Special Educational Needs (SEN)

LFIM's inclusive school provides quality education to all students from kindergarten to the baccalaureate, taking into account each student's individuality and their particular educational needs. We provide adaptations for children with special educational needs to help them follow the class, with plans addressing their specific characteristics. Our programs and school choices aim to offer students a calm, supportive learning environment. We support families by answering all of their questions. If you have questions about plans for students with special needs, contact Sandrine, our inclusion referent.

English as an Additional Language (EAL)

French and Spanish are the languages of instruction, and English is taught as a third language from age three. The LFIMolière model aims for students to master three languages and to live in a multicultural environment. The multilingual and international education model is approved by the French Ministry of Education and the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport. After obtaining the baccalauréat, students can use their bac scores to access universities in Spain and may sit the Selectividad exam. From early years, students are exposed to three languages; primary instruction is mainly in French and Spanish, with English heard and taught from kindergarten, and English instruction becomes more intensive in secondary, aiming for level C1 in all three languages. LFIMolière is an official center for Cambridge English, DELF/DALF (French), and DELE (Spanish) certifications.

Mental Wellbeing

Emotional education supports mental wellbeing by improving health and wellbeing for students and staff, fostering a positive classroom climate, and developing social-emotional competencies. It emphasizes emotional regulation, empathy, and active listening, contributing to safer, more supportive learning environments. The program includes regular sessions across levels and is designed to cultivate resilience and social skills. LFIMolière's approach also highlights staff well-being through professional development and collaborative practice.

Safeguarding

The child protection plan at LFIMolère aims to promote a safe environment for minors and to shield them from risks of aggression and abuse, while addressing misunderstandings, suspicions, and inappropriate actions that could affect the child and those around them. The current child protection protocol is a practical guide with guidelines for prevention and the legal steps to take in cases of suspected physical or psychological abuse. The anti-bullying protocol applies across all levels of schooling as a prevention and intervention tool to guarantee students' right to a safe educational environment. The Shared Concern Method (MPP) is used to rapidly de-escalate bullying by focusing on child protection and group dynamics rather than confrontation.
